Small Groups / Cell Groups / Home Groups

Welcome to the Small Groups Section

Many churches run small groups - also called 'cell groups' - 'core groups' - 'house groups' - 'home groups' - you name it, well, you probably already have..

As one person in my church keeps reminding me, 'community is so important in the church.' As another lady kept telling me, 'relationships are where it's at.' Of course, they're right. Small groups aim to support each other in a chilled setting with people you feel comfortable with. We've found young people's cell groups to be powerful support mechanisms (with the odd antagonism) and also great places of prayer.

If you don't have small groups, take time out with God to consider starting as appropriate. You can divide lads and ladies or with ages / spiritual experience / theme / preference. It's down to you, your group and the size.

This includes a series of studies that we used on Matthew - and on Luke 24.13-53, which is basically the Road to Emmaus events.

The latest set of small group study notes come from Exodus chapter 2, and are divided up into 3 sections.

These studies have questions and challenges built in so young people are encouraged to study the Bible to find the answers that God reveals to them. They also encourage chat. If you throw in food that's a good idea too!

For larger sessions, go to the talks section. For brief notes, try the quiet-times.
