This website is run by a committed Bible believing Christian from the UK. This site started up in 2000. Its motto is 'Christian counter-culture youth work resources'. We are Holy Spirit-filled believers in Jesus who are passionate about young people, discipleship and relevant communication of God's truth - his Word, the Bible. Thanks to Andy Hood, who has helped with a number of games, sessions, ideas and more. This website is for the fame of Jesus and for his name alone!
This site subscribes to the Evangelical Alliance statement of faith.
Active member and worship leader at City Community Church, a local church in the UK. Have also served many other churches and Christians across the South West.
Please note: this website has a Christian ethos based on an evangelical Christian faith. However we work with all people from all Christian denominations and all people (regardless of religion, no religion, lifestyle, race, gender, sexuality etc) to try and demonstrate integrity, quality, reliability and Christ's love through this site and our lifestyle. What we aim to present on this website is God's truth in love.
The Website - author's experience
This isn't a promo of us (although if you want to offer us a job please do!) it's just so you know where we're coming from! Myfishbites is about God's fame and nothing else!
Heart is to be a resource for youth work and the local church, serving God as he leads!
Have worked in youth work within the church and helped with many other inter-church events since. Worked for and with local Christian schools project. Have been a project worker and secretary with a Christian based inner city community project, working with and developing community initiatives around homelessness, care at Christmas and poverty. Been involved in a project working with young people at risk of exclusion at one school and with behaviour unit over years in another school. Worked multi-agency across the city.
Was the senior Youth Leader at a church - have been involved in church youth work for 14 years. For around 6 of those years, led and was central in the youth work, developing many young people and leaders. Have worked in school on chaplaincy team, have done many assemblies and school events, helped with others going into school, done many lessons (drama, music, RE and more).
Work on major city events, evangelism, clubs, camps, weekends away, detached work and more to make Jesus known. Worked across so-called 'secular youth work' in a wide variety of ways. A speaker at different youth work events. On worship team of local church, worship leader, creative team, speaking, write and perform dramas, part of AV team and serve wherever God calls. Trained up and run young people's worship bands, who now play events / lead themselves. Have run outreach events with hip-hop performance, quality visuals, games and interactivity - along with the gospel presented relevantly - also supporting and empowering the young people from church in performance, testimony, audio, video and in ministry / prayer. Part of key team running 'FNX' which is a professionally run worship / outreach event involving many people from different churches. Have enabled, trained, empowered many young people in many areas and worked within churches, youth service, other agencies, schools to support, mentor and be there for young pepople, taking practical action with them where necessary.
Help run the tech and worship at local church, help with the formation of the Exeter House of Prayer and run a digital media business. Have an increasing calling into worship and serve as a worship leader and on lead guitar at various churches in Devon, open air worship, YMCA events and other events. Also host church services and speak in various places.
Giving
Myfishbites strongly believes in not just giving money and time, but in being whole life disciples who cheerfully and joyfully give, as the Bible says, as led by the Holy Spirit. The projects we support can be found on the links page.

To all those who have helped in the development of www.myfishbites.com over the last few years. I hope I have credited all of you. I want to credit everyone (adults and young people) who have been involved in coding, assembling, writing, supporting. Thanks to my parents and my sister for their total support and Godly wisdom. Thanks to those of you who have visited this site. Thanks even more to those who keep coming back!
Most of all I give my thanks and shouts up to the awesome God, one in three and three in one. Thank you Jesus for dying, rising and calling me. Thank you for inspiring. This is all about and for you.
